The object of NASCAR Pick 'em is to get the highest score by picking the most top 10 finishers.
Scoring is as follows:
For each correctly picked finisher, you get 10 pts
(example: you guess the number 3 finisher and your pick actually finishes 3rd, then you get 10 points for that pick.)
For each of your picks that finishes in the top 10, that you don't pick exactly correct, you get the following complicated formula for points: 10 points minus the difference between your pick and the driver's actual finishing place.
(example1 : Your number 3 pick actually finishes in 6th place, so, your score would be the difference between your pick and the actual placing: (6th - 3rd) = 3, then 10 - 3 = 7 points. So, you would get 7 points.)
(example 2: Your number 9 pick actually finishes 2nd, so, 9 - 2 = 7, then 10 - 7 = 3 points. So, you would get 3 points.)
For each of your picks that don't finish in the top 10, you get 0 (zero) points.
Scores are calculated once official results have been posted.
